NYFW: a whirlwind of fashionably unique inspiration, some of which are recycled trends, others of which are treasure troves of original beauty.
According to many acclaimed critics, NYFW 2025 was a real bust this season, showcasing outfits that looked a bit outdated or cliche. Others argue that NYFW demonstrated some revolutionary pieces even if not groundbreaking. They say that “beauty is in the eye of the beholder,” so how did you view NYFW this year – snooze fest or fashion forward?
Predictably Unpredictable Trends at NYFW ‘25
This season, NYFW brought forth some trends that called taste level and originality into question. Some of the styles garnered mixed reviews, while others received more widely held praise. Although not all styles were necessarily considered “on trend” for NYFW, the following main trends were pinpointed at NYFW 2025:
